Getting involved with an eco-friendly
company was THE BEST change I could have made for my family.
By doing so it has opened my eyes to living a cleaner,
organic and simpler life for my three girls and husband. We
are hosting an Earth Day program at my home, planting trees
at the local library with the kids and this Memorial Day
planting that vegetable garden in the back yard! I feel as
if we are finally making a difference & getting back to our
roots! Thank you for this inspirational website!

One day my 4 year old son
asked me why I was washing out the butter tub instead of
putting it in the trash. I told him it was going into the
green bin. After a long conversation explaining what it
means to recycle things, he was excited to help. He now
checks out everything he gets his hands on that is plastic
(from the McDonalds toys to the yogurt cups) and looks for
it's "triangle number" If it is one that can be tossed into
our bin, he lets me know. If it can't go in our bin he tries
to find a use for it.

My husband and I went out shopping
for office supplies for our new home business. Of
course, I was drawn to all the pretty colors for file
folders and paper but we opted for 100% recycled for
everything! It cost just the same and does the same
job. We may not have those pretty colors in the office
but feel great knowing we made a better choice!

A few weeks ago
during our family vacation, our car broke down in
the middle of no where and we were stuck out in the
heat on a Sunday afternoon. After calling everyone
we knew and anyone local who could help us, a kind
woman stopped and drove us about 20 miles to where
we were staying and waited with us until we were
settled. My son calls her our "vacation angel" and
we will be forever grateful for her kindness!!!
Thanks D!

While growing up myself, I
do not recall my family ever having to separate garbage for
recycling. But now that my children are getting older, they
have noticed the three different garbage bins. One for
garbage, plastic, and cardboard. Not until recently did I
notice they have been more conscious and inquisitive about
where certain garbage gets disposed. Then I realized I
never actually showed or taught them about the method of
recycling and its benefits. Such a simple task, but I
neglected to teach them hands on how to separate recyclables
from disposable items. And now that I have, they actually
become excited about separating garbage and always make sure
to ask me before doing so. This has taught them a valuable
lesson and has eased at least one household task for myself
and husband. Now they actually want to participate in clean
up and ridding of garbage. Something so simple can indeed
have a profound effect. Thank You!!!
