A long time ago, a million years BC, the best things in life
were absolutely free. But no one appreciated a sky that was
always blue and no one congratulated a moon that was always
new.
Bing Crosby in “Pennies from Heaven”
When you
think about your childhood, wasn’t life simpler then?
Running through the sprinkler and catching fireflies.
Sitting at the kids table for a holiday feast. Staying up
so late when a friend slept over that everything became
burst-out-loud-silly. These were the things that made us
smile. But as the years passed, something happened. Somehow
we got so busy we forgot the most important things in life,
those things we truly value.
My
inspiration for this clothing line came after listening to
Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch’s “Journeys”
lecture,
“Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”
in
September 2007. In his lecture he talks about his childhood
dreams, enabling the dreams of others and how we can do the
same. Immediately, I thought how easy it is to go through
everyday life without defining what matters most to us.
Then, I thought of my son and my responsibility to be sure
he grows up with strong core values.
Our
Value
Statement TeesTM
are designed
with a simple "i will..." statement, each piece illustrates an important life value. It is our
hope this clothing line makes people stop, think and react
in a positive way with their children and families. We have
chosen to run an environmentally friendly company. The
clothing is certified 100% organic cotton using water-based
inks rather than the commonly used plastisol which contains
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and is harmful to our environment.
All of our paper products and shipping supplies use
recyclable and recycled materials. What is more important
than making the world a better place for all those who
follow us?
Thank you for visiting and we ask that when
you can, take a quiet moment to remember what life was like
when you were a child…when you appreciated the sky and
congratulated the moon. Then ask yourself, “What do I
value most in my life, what do I want to teach my children?”
The rest is a no-brainer. Which, after all, is nice for a
change.

Our tees are not just
better for the environment but something to talk about. We
don’t have any cheeky, catchy phrases, only simple messages
that remind us what’s really important. It is our mission
to spark change in the way people interact while making our
world a better place. |
